Board of Directors
Daniel Hager (President) lives in Barboursville, and has lived in Orange County his
entire life. He remembers coming to see shows at Four County Players when he was a
teenager. He first became involved with 4CP in 2001 as Mr. Fezziwig in A Christmas
Carol. He fell in love with the organization, and plunged headfirst into as many aspects
of it as he could. He's been seen onstage in many 4CP shows, and has designed sets
for many others. Somehow, he has still found time to design sets for other local
theaters. He joined the 4CP Board of Directors in 2003 as Chairperson of the Building
Committee, and was largely responsible for getting our lighted sign out on Route 33, as
well as helping with the main floor remodeling and new upstairs bathrooms. He became
President in 2007, and has since helped to usher in change and push the theater
forward into its current strength and presence in the area. Daniel works at Better Living
as a sales representative, as well as a Certified Andersen Windows Technician.

Tracie Steger Skipper (Vice President) graduated from Longwood College in 1996 with a BFA in
technical theatre. She was a professional stage manager for several years before
returning home for what she thought would be a short visit for Christmas. She took a
part time job with a construction company and the rest is history. Tracie fell in love with
the construction industry and has been a sales representative with Pella Windows and
Doors for 9 years. It wasn't long before she got involved in the local community theatre
scene as a lighting designer. She has numerous local lighting design credits with
companies like Live Arts, New Lyric Theatre, and PVCC Theatre. She served on the
board of directors of Offstage Theatre for 3 years. She met her husband Ron at Four
County Players and they were married in May 2006. Tracie has produced several
shows, and is the lighting designer for most of the main stage shows. Tracie lives in
Charlottesville, Virginia and is the mother of five furry four legged children.

Wendy Novicoff (Treasurer) has been Four County's Treasurer since 2006, and she has been involved in productions here since 1993.
She is proud to have worked on more than 20 shows with Four County, both onstage and offstage.
She is also grateful for the wonderful friends she has been privileged to meet during her time working with the organization and truly making the theater her home away from home.
In her "real" life, she is on the faculty of the University of Virginia School of Medicine, concentrating on doing outcomes research in orthopedic surgery and public health and teaching research methods to medical students and residents.
She lives in Charlottesville with her husband Bob and their cat Bandit.

Gary White (Secretary) became involved with Four County Players in 2001, appearing
in such shows as You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Little Women, and Once Upon a
Mattress. In 2006, Gary joined the Board of Directors and was shortly thereafter
appointed its Secretary. Since 2007, he has been instrumental in putting together the
theatrical season as well as special events and concerts. By day, he works at Tucker
Griffin Barnes P.C. in Charlottesville as a real estate paralegal. He lives in Barboursville.
He still occasionally finds time to be on the stage starring in productions at Four County
Players, New Lyric Theatre, and Live Arts, as well as singing in local concerts. He
regards Four County as his "theatrical home base" and has met some of his best
friends here. He thinks that this organization has something very special about it, and is
extremely excited about its future.

Joncey Boggs first worked with Four County Players in 2007 while choreographing
some bits for Tweflth Night. She returned the following summer to Assistant Direct and
choreograph As You Like It, and recently directed and choreographed Oliver!. Joncey
is impressed with how hard the Board works to make our shows successful and how
well they treat the volunteers, whether they were actors or ushers. It is a warm and
welcoming experience. She joined the Board of Directors in June because she wanted
to contribute to the continued success of a wonderful playhouse. She fell in love with
the space and the people, so the forty-minute commute from Batesville is worth it to
her. She is excited about developing the Cellar, our amazing new black box space.
The Cellar is versatile and lends itself to all kinds of interesting theater experiences. It
will add a new dimension to our beloved Four County. I am thrilled to be working in
theater again after a long break to raise four amazing children.

Cathy Brinkley has worked on the board for one year, and devotes her time to the
Costume committee and all that entails. She has costumed three shows at 4CP and
seven shows elsewhere, including William Monroe High School. Cathy is very excited
about teaching Costuming at 4CP Kids Camp. She believes sewing is a dying art, and
would to cast a wider net so that more kids and adults knew exactly what goes into
costuming a show. She lives in Barboursville with her husband Whitfield and still finds
time to run their Bed & Breakfast, "The Inn at Dawsonville". They have a daughter who
is married with two children, another daughter in college and a son in high school.
During the school year, Cathy is a Teaching Assistant for Title I Reading with Greene
County Schools.

Kristen Franklin is a Charlottesville native and theatre veteran who has worked in professional, educational, and community theatres for nearly all her life.
Kristen was introduced to Four County Players by her wonderful mentors while just in grade school. She sat rapt in many an audience and hoped to someday be one of those magical folks up on the stage.
So she set out to be just that. After returning from the theater world of New York in 1999 she decided it was time to give back to a theater community that had given her so much.
She contacted Bill Thomas, one of the founders of 4CP, and thus it began. Kristen assistant directed A Christmas Carol for Bill and fell in love with FCP all over again.
She performed in countless other shows to follow, to name a few, Secret Garden, Fiddler on the Roof, Mame, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Once Upon A Mattress,
Music Man, and Oliver!.
Kristen has now been an actively involved board member at FCP for 10-years. Who knew all those years ago as a child sitting in our little theater waiting for the lights to come up that she'd be sitting there some 20-plus years later doing the same thing!!

Amy Hart moved to Central Virginia in 2005 from Michigan (via New York). She was
appointed to the Board of Directors in June 2009, where she is actively involved in the
new 4CP website. Amy brings a wide perspective to this theater, with a resume that
includes Design, Marketing, Event Planning and thirty years in the Entertainment
Industry. In addition to working "onstage", Amy also designed costumes for 4CP's
Oliver! (2009) and designed the set for Same Time Next Year under the
guidance of Daniel Hager. Amy graduated with a BS in Interior Design from Eastern
Michigan University in 1995 and went on to design award-winning interiors. She
currently works as Key Business Manager for Reico Kitchen & Bath in Charlottesville,
and lives in Scottsville with her talented husband T. Eric Hart and their two dogs Toby
and Rexford.

David Heyl has been involved with Four County Players since 1980 when he served as
President. No stranger to adversity, David took up the 4CP cause and fought off an
attack that would have been the theater's ruin. Thanks to him, and many others
through the years, 4CP is a thriving theater community that will continue to improve. In
his "real" life David works as a mortgage loan officer, and lives with his wife Elizabeth
and their three kids in Somerset, VA.

Pat LaLand has served on the board for a total of 8 years in various terms. She
previously worked on fundraising, served as prompter for Shakespeare at the Ruins,
and was in two Christmas plays. Currently she helps with fundraising grants, works on
archives and is now working with the volunteer program. She also represents the
theater at the Orange County Tourism Board. Four County Players is important to Pat
because it is such a part of the community, bringing together people who appreciate
theater both from the audience and from the stage, with wholehearted participation
from families. The quality of many productions that have been presented here easily
have been equal to those seen in New York and Baltimore. The dedication, the energy,
the devotion and the drive for excellence personify the spirit of this little theater. In 'real
life', Pat is a former museum administrator, now a writer for local publications, having
been previously published in magazines such as Southern Accents, House Beautiful,
Better Homes and Gardens, Colonial Homes and Early American Life among
others. She enjoys traveling, mostly to places that are as different as possible from
where she lives, so that she has a better appreciation for Virginia.

Geri Carlson Sauls moved to Barboursville in September 2008, and jumped right into
the wonderful 4CP theater community by playing Nancy in Oliver!. She volunteered her
talents to 4CP as choreographer for Tom Sawyer, and will choreograph Cabaret next
Spring. She is excited to be involved with 4CP as a member of the Board. She served
on the Board of Saratoga Drama Group in the San Jose, CA area before moving here.
During the day she is a veterinarian at Gordonsville Veterinary Hospital. Geri also
teaches dance at Brushwood School of Dance (tap and jazz). She thinks it's wonderful
to have such an established, good quality local theater group - we can all be entertained
as well as enriching the community.

Ann Schreiber (Bookkeeper) has been an outstanding asset ever since she was
elected to the Board of Directors in 2007. Her first experience with 4CP was during set
design for the 2006 production of The Velveteen Rabbit. When the need arose for a
bookkeeper, Ann's professional experience came in handy and she volunteered. She
continues to help with bookkeeping and works behind the scenes, but you won't catch
her on the stage unless it is to help build a set or move props!
